Urey Overlook

The Urey Overlook in York County provides a nice view of the Susquehanna River. Like the Pinnacle Overlook on the east side of the river, the Urey Overlook is managed as part of Susquehannock State Park. Pinnacle Overlook

Pinnacle Overlook in Lancaster County offers one of the best views in the state. From here you can look down on the Susquehanna River and Lake Aldred. The overlook is managed as part of Susquehannock State Park, but is disconnected from the main body of the park, which is just a few miles further south in Lancaster County. Pinnacle Overlook has its own parking lot, and then you can walk a hundred yards or so to the overlook. The Kellys Run Trail passes through the area and can be accessed at Pinnacle Overlook. Lehigh Gorge State Park

Lehigh Gorge State Park in Luzerne and Carbon Counties is a great place for outdoor recreation. The park spans miles of the Lehigh River and surrounding gorge. One of the main recreation activities is whitewater rafting. Depending on water conditions, the Lehigh River can be rated as high as a class III on the International Scale of River Difficulty.
